History Unveiled
National Japanese American Historical Society – The Enemy Alien Traveling Exhibit
The Enemy Alien Files: Hidden Stories of World War II presents for the first time the little known wartime experiences of Italian, German and Japanese immigrants in the US and from Latin America.
With photographs, documents, and oral history excerpts, nddCreative created for the National Japanese American Historical Society a traveling exhibit that brings to light these stories and explores how international events, political and military actions, national security threat, and changes in public attitudes led to similarities and differences in the treatment, exclusion, internment and deportation of several thousand “enemy aliens.”
Collaborators: Rosalyn Tonal, Grace Shimizu and Grace Horikiri
