San Francisco Japantown Sensu (Fan) Sculpture

The dynamic Sensu, or folding fan sculpture, is the designated gateway to San Francisco’s Japantown and the highlight of the 10-block Japantown History Walk. NDD’s design for this 14’ x 14’ landmark is a visual blend of traditional Japanese design elements and modern symbols of Japantown, and has become a point of interest on the popular 49-Mile Drive.
